Your role
We are looking for a Head Bartender to lead the launch and day-to-day operations of a new cocktail destination in the heart of Cascais. This role goes beyond running shifts, you will be responsible for shaping the bar’s identity, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering an outstanding guest experience from day one.
You will play a key role in the pre-opening phase, team recruitment and training, as well as in the long-term success of the venue by leading service, managing stock, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Your Journey
-Pre-Opening & Setup
Organise and oversee the setup of all bar equipment, glassware, tools, and spirits.
Create and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for bar preparation, service, hygiene, and closing routines.
Support the recruitment and selection of the bar team.
-Training & Opening
Train team members on cocktail preparation, spirits knowledge, service standards, and guest experience.
Coordinate workflows during the opening phase, including soft openings and launch days.
Ensure smooth service execution in a fast-paced environment.
-Operations & Team Leadership
Lead and supervise the bar team on a daily basis.
Prepare rotas, support performance follow-up, and provide ongoing coaching.
Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and service quality.
Foster a positive and professional team culture.
-Stock & Performance Management
Monitor stock levels, inventory, and product ordering.
Maintain relationships with suppliers when needed.
Support cost control and ensure the bar operates efficiently in line with business goals.
-Guest Experience
Act as a key point of contact for guests and contribute to creating a welcoming and memorable atmosphere.
Build strong guest relationships and help position the venue as a reference point in Cascais.

What do you bring to your trip
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in cocktail bars, hospitality venues, or similar environments.
Previous experience in a Head Bartender, Senior Bartender, or Pre-Opening role is highly valued.
Strong knowledge of mixology, spirits, cocktail preparation, and bar operations.
Experience in team leadership, training, and shift coordination.
Good understanding of inventory management and operational procedures.
Fluent English is required.
Portuguese is a strong plus.
Valid EU work permit.
